If you could experience only one of the following feats, what would it be?
Pitching a perfect game.
Hitting a walk off home run.
Hitting the winning three pointer.
Bowling a perfect game.
Kicking the winning field goal.
Scoring the winning touchdown in sudden death OT.
Would you rather be a number one draft pick bust with 50 million dollars in the bank or a super successful journeyman who never made the big bucks?
Would you rather win a gold medal or a professional championship?
Would you rather be a hall of famer who never won a championship, or a minor role player who did win a championship or two?
Well I'm not a really big sports person, but I can defiantly answer one of those, even though they are rhetorical.
ReplyDeleteI would rather be a hall of famer who never won a championship because people are more likely to remember that feat than the other. And even besides that, there is something more romantic about the hall of fame, rather than a championship. It also sounds cooler to brag about being in the hall of fame.
Not a big sports person either. I'd rather be a draft bust with 50 million in my pocket. Then I could just continue on and do what I wanted. I could care less about the other stuff, frankly.
ReplyDeleteI love playing basketball, its truly a passion of mine, so I would have to go with hitting the winning three pointer. Kobe, personally the greatest player in the NBA to me, always seems to amaze me with his buzzer beaters. I wish I could have experienced hitting a winning three in my high school days, but it did not happen. Maybe it can happen in intramural or something!
ReplyDeleteI would have to go with pitching a perfect game that is by far the most challenging of all the feats. I think it is also the rarest of all. Now if we are talking no hitter then I would say walk off home run because the game all depends on you. Baseball is the most individual team sport.
